French Montana, born Karim Kharbouch on November 9, 1984, in Casablanca, Morocco, is an American-Moroccan rapper known for his unique style that combines East Coast hip-hop with North African influences. He moved to the Bronx, New York, at age 13, where he eventually began his career as a battle rapper and started the "Cocaine City" DVD series, gaining recognition in hip-hop circles. His breakthrough came with the 2012 single "Pop That," featuring Rick Ross, Drake, and Lil Wayne, followed by his debut album Excuse My French in 2013. French Montana has since released several chart-topping hits like "Unforgettable" (featuring Swae Lee), which became a global success, highlighting his versatility and ability to merge different musical influences. Over the years, he's collaborated with numerous artists, including The Weeknd, Cardi B, and DJ Khaled.
